




















































Standing on the entrance to once was the main office of the Thew Lorain crane company. Got the opportunity to walk through some of the factory where the steam shovel was made. Then a stop at the Lorain historic museum to look at several pictures of different shovels. Finally to Brownsville Pennsylvania to help with the other steam shovel.








Before and after removing the worn and damaged beams and fabricating new ones the upper frame is partially done.







During thanksgiving weekend we did some hot riveting to the upper frame to start connecting the new pieces together. Heated rivets in a gas forge and old school with a coal forge.
